Support the Lake Placid Horse Shows
Where your gift goes
LPHSA, Inc.
LPHSA, Inc. is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to run the two Lake Placid horse shows. Since 1970 they have been a cornerstone of American show jumping, and with FEI competition back, they are entering a new chapter. Your gift helps write it.
LPHSA and the Town of North Elba rebuilt the showgrounds together, and the money came from two places. New York State’s $7.8 million in grants went to the Town, for the spectator facilities and year-round use of the grounds. The horse shows’ side was paid for privately: $2 million in contributions has brought the competition and schooling rings up to modern standards. Your gift keeps those equestrian facilities current, and every contribution, at any level, makes a difference to the shows and to the community.
What private gifts have paid for
- International all-weather footing in the competition rings
- Redesigned ring layouts, which brought FEI competition back for 2025
