Our story

More than a horse show

Two weeks each summer bring riders, families and the Lake Placid community together in the Adirondacks.

What brings us together

The sport

The Lake Placid and I Love New York Horse Shows bring FEI CSI3* international show jumping alongside hunter, jumper and equitation competition. Athletes, owners and trainers travel from across the country and around the world to compete here each June and July.

The place

Set against the Adirondacks at the North Elba Show Grounds, the shows are part of summer in Lake Placid. Time at the rings goes hand in hand with time in the village, bringing visitors to the local shops, restaurants and places to stay.

The community

LPHSA, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, runs the shows. Competitors, vendors, sponsors and spectators all have a place here, supporting an event that contributes to the local community and tourism economy. Whether you ride, watch from the rail or follow along from home, you are welcome to be part of it.
